Gango is a personal assistant that runs the back office for freelancers. You talk to it, by chat or voice, and it handles the admin: sending quotes, drafting and sending invoices, tracking your time, and following up automatically when a payment is late. The point is simple, you do the work, Gango does the paperwork.
The beta opens in August 2026. Join the waitlist with just your email, no credit card, and you're in line for a founding spot: six months of everything Gango does, free, before it opens to anyone else.
On iOS, Android, and the web from day one. On Pro and Max, Gango also lives where you already work: Slack, Telegram, macOS, and more channels as they roll out.
It gets to know you. Gango asks a few questions about how you work, then helps you set up your clients and projects and your invoice and quote templates. A few minutes of conversation, and you're ready to go.
Yes, and you don't have to tidy anything up first. Send Gango a screenshot of your client or project list, a CSV, or almost any other format, and it structures everything properly for you. Do it during onboarding or any time later, so you can also just try the app first.
Using Gango
You tell Gango what you worked on, and that becomes a properly assigned time entry. Say it whenever it suits you, mid-coffee, on the walk home, at the end of the day, as a sentence or a voice note. No timer to forget, no end-of-week reconstruction.
Because a fixed price is a bet, and your hours are the only way to know whether you won it. Gango shows you what each project really cost and your effective hourly rate, so you scope and price the next one better, and spot scope creep while there's still time to say something.
Never without your approval. Gango drafts the invoice or the follow-up and waits for your tap. Anything with money on it reaches a client only after you say go.
From working with you. Every draft you approve and every edit you make teaches Gango how you talk to your clients, so its drafts keep getting closer to your voice. Want a head start? Upload a few past conversations or client chats and it picks up your tone from those.
Yes. Gango drafts invoices to the rules of your country: Swiss invoices come as a QR-Rechnung with the payment part, and EU invoices carry the required VAT fields, including your VAT ID, the rate per line item, and reverse-charge notes where they apply. Everything goes out in your branding with your numbering and your terms, and nothing is sent until you approve it. You stay the sender and stay in control.
Exactly the way they always have; nothing changes on their side. Every invoice goes out with what a regular bank transfer needs: your account details for SEPA transfers in the EU, the QR payment part in Switzerland. Card payment links, so clients can pay with whatever they prefer, are in beta and roll out later this year.
Yes. Set a rate per client, per project, and per type of work. If a key client has a negotiated rate or special terms, that rate stays locked in, even if your standard rate changes.
Set up an hours quota per client, and it counts down with every hour you log. When it starts running low, you get a warning, so you can renegotiate before you end up working unpaid.
Yes. Set up internal projects for pitches, business development, training, anything that isn't client work. Reporting shows the ratio of billable to non-billable hours, a number that matters if you want to understand your profitability.
All the major ones: English, German, French, and Italian. Swiss German is in the works, though Gango admits: «Bärndüütsch isch nid ganz so eifach z'verstah für mi.»
Data & privacy
Your data is stored encrypted on servers in Switzerland and backed up automatically several times a day, so losing it is a non-event. It stays there; we do not move it around to wherever hosting happens to be cheap. And if you ever want your own copy, export everything in CSV or PDF whenever you like.
Yes. Gango processes your data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU GDPR: clear consent, data stored in Switzerland, and the right to export or delete what is yours. The details, including exactly what we process and why, are in our Privacy Policy.
You, and the people you invite to your workspace. Inside Gango, access is limited to what is strictly needed to run and support the service. We never sell your data and never share it for advertising.
No. Your data is never sold and never used to train third-party models. Voice notes exist for exactly one purpose, to become time entries, and you can delete them whenever you like.
Yes, both, at any time. Export your time entries and invoices in standard formats (CSV, PDF), and delete anything or everything with a simple request. What we delete is deleted, not archived for later.
